Marie Maria-Rosa Nadzieja Lewandowski-Aguilar-Flores was born in Zacatecas, Mexico, and was moved in and out of foster care most of her child until at the age of 7 she was adopted by a Polish family who saw her less of as a life-long responsibility and more as "just had kids just to have kids". This assumption was further proven right by her 7 siblings, all of which got varying levels of attention, with Marie getting the least out of the bunch except for the novelty that she was adopted and she was the only one who wasn't ethnically Polish. This caused her to constantly seek attention as an adult, which totally isn't foreshadowing for things later. She also has Tourettes syndrome and schizoaffective disorder, which she has to be medicated for.

Iris Iris has lived in Plainbrooke her whole life. She's considered the odd one out by the locals and is treated as Plainbrooke's scapegoat. Everyone kinda assumes she's queer already because they think "queer" is a slur so they associate her with such, but if they ACTUALLY ever confirmed she was dating Marie, both of them are cooked lol
